the newpaper

Recently I realize that there is one very interesting section called SPEAK UP in the newpaper.. inside this section there afew articles which are for singaporeans who had something funny, heart-warming or unusual experience to write in. Sometimes u will see someone writing in to complain about their service of a particulars shop or services provider, and awhile ago people wrote in regretting the casino and there is one particulars section is the Net Buzz is wat u saw on the internet. Now execpt reading the back of the newpaper which is the sports section, i have another section which i'll flip to, the SPEAK UP section, SHOW section and the GUIDE section.. =)

this is one of the Singapore Buzz article in the SPEAK UP section recently and i found it quite funny and quite true.. it is written in by a lady..

the article title was Guys, look good for the girls

How many times have we seen married couples holding hands, with the women in smart office attire with makeup and high heels, and the guy in T-Shirt and bermudas?
The sight of a spiffy women paired with a grungy male is becoming commonplace, especially on weekday evenings.
On Sunday, we often see the women is smart casuals, while her man is still in tees and shorts.
All too obviously, women take the trouble to be presentable while men tend to be slobs.
The saying goes, men impress their girlfriends but depress their wives.
Yet, even many young couples who like they are on their first dates do not do better. The man would be dressed for a rock concert while his date is all dolled up, as if to take part in a choral performance.
The incongruity is unsightly to behold!
Guys let's give our women some respect. Ask them what they are wearing before you meet them, and dress to match.

i think this is a very well written article and is quite true.. during weekday or weekend, any places u go, town or neighborhood places, u can see this situations happens, the lady is all well dressed up and the guy turn up in bermudas and slippers or sandlers, its such a huge different. I think at least wear shoes then slipper or sandlers. oh gosh... did i wear like that before? erm, i dun think i wear shorts and slipper to town with my girlfriend before coz i would at least wear a shoes.. only if i with my friend or girlfriend going to town from sentosa then this will happen.

What the writter wrote mostly was target married couple but i think even if they are still dating this things will happen too so its juz not only marrid guy will wear like that.

Often guys would want their wives or girlfriend to dolled up very pretty or wear this top or bottom but hey guys think wat are u going to wear first. U are asking them to dolled up for u but u are not dressed for them and appear in a grungy way. Girls too want their guy to dress up to match them.
